For some unknown reasons I like Gouf 10x better than the Zakus. Of course, the Gouf Custom is even better, but the Master Grade Gouf can still hold his own. In the search of those Master Grade figures, I convinced myself to get this kit so that I can have the Crowley Hamon figure, but I also like Gouf enough. Moreover, I wanted to experiment with a few modifications before trying them on the Gouf Custom.
The Ramba Ral Gouf looks a bit boring, so I give this Gouf to the Zeon ace Monique Lionheart, who specializes in GM destruction with her masterful swordsmanship. She painted her spunky caricature on the shield and a lion on the heart of the Gouf. When Zeon was defeated on Earth, she successfully faked her own death by self-destruction of her beloved Gouf, changed her name and live happily thereafter...

I added double joints to the feet to improve mobility, and also lowered the axis of the groin by 1-1.5mm to make the Gouf more sporty. Having looked at the chest styling on Ramba Ral's Zaku I, I added something similar... otherwise Gouf's chest is too plain! The B-club Gouf hands looks great, but they have this bad system - you get 6 "pegs" which you plug into the 5 hands, but 2 are for Zakus, 2 Gouf and 2 Kaempfer! WTF?! In reality I only get 2 Gouf hands, which makes no sense at all. Someone tell me if I'm missing something... otherwise it's another blatant rip-off.
Having more experience with weathering I use more restraints on this kit than my Ez8. I use mostly oil for washing and oil mixed with cold wax for drybrushing. The latter is wonderful, it allows you to achieve a pastel-like effect and a lot of control.
