This is a neat kit but not an astounding one. The proportions are also a little bit exagzzerated (but that's probably why I got the kit in the first place :) The right hand's pose is bizzare; the sculptor could've done it with just a relaxed palm pointing downwards, I think.

Kit Review

Seam lines: ?/5   Pinholes: ?/5   Casting: ?/5   Fit: ?/5   Part Break: ?/5   Help

Parts: l&r sideburns, front hair, pony tail, l & r arms, l&r legs, upper & lower body.

Typical Kotobukiya quality - good casting but has a few pinholes everywhere. Fit is excellent... actually the joining surfaces are all inside clothes which I'm really happy about, and the only parting lines are on the sideburns.

Building

This is the first kit that I understand how to do shading with airbrush better - laying in the shadows and then cover them layer by layer to achieve a subtle effect. Before this kit I paint the shadow in and they don't look very natural.

I was too lazy to do masking so I hand brushed the hair.

The sideburns were quite annoying to deal with, I glued them in before painting since the parting lines here are visible. However it gets in the way of airbrushing quite a bit.

No major disaster this time, and I had a really good time doing this kit. By the time I take pictures which is almost 2 years later, the kit has collected some dust and some paints were scratched off... MY POOR MISATO! She didn't even have a base before this. I should treat my kits better...
