Though she has some traces of maid-dom, that's a lingerie she's wearing so I didn't break my "no-maid" policy ^_^; I really like this kit, for a lot of reasons: it's very well-sculpted anatomically, the lingerie is very detailed, and the pose is very graceful. If I have to nitpick, her head is a little small, but it doesn't look too out-of-scale. She's billed as 1/5... it must be a trend now, blowing up the scale of a kit to suck more $$$. She's slightly bigzzer than 1/6 kit (e.g.. my Yoko), but that doesn't make it 1/5!   Kit Review Seam lines: ?/5   Pinholes: ?/5   Casting: ?/5   Fit: ?/5   Part Break: ?/5   Help Well casted, and fit *looks* perfect. However, the thighs and legs and lower torso are separate pieces, and although all the parting lines are invisible, the surfaces don't exactly touch each other. Even superglue gel doesn't hold the parts together well, so a thick application of epoxy would be necessary. There's a mid-calve division in the left arm but that's not a big deal. Otherwise surface preparation is pretty straightforward. The hair is nicely cast, but you need to heat the resin slightly to spread out the ends.   Building Boy do I have loads of fun painting her. I'm adapting to a new skintone strategy that relies on the white base coat to show highlight. I'm finally getting the subtle transition I wanted, and only a slight application of oil would be needed to fix things up. Plus, her body is one of those "paint itself" kind that has nicely sculpted muscle structure. The build up has a purple lingerie but that's a little too much contrast, and I want a softer image, so I did a "victoria secret pink" version. The white is done with off white and drybrushed with titanium white. The stockings are done with off white with some pearl powder mixed in, mixed with a flat coat. It turned out quite satisfactory, the flat killed most of the pearl powder shine but you can still see some. As usual, I wanted transparency for white areas... I particularly like how the panties turned out :) This time I used Gunze's white pearl coat similar to the one used for Rei's plugsuit. I'm very happy with the result! It really makes the lingerie silky and velvet-like. I'm looking forward to using this in the future. I tried using red pearl for the pink parts, but they didn't do anything... I think red and other colored pearl coats are used on contrasting color to give other effects. When used on a close color, they just don't do a lot. I thought about doing stray hair but this kit doesn't need it, thanks to well designed hair pieces. This kit takes a while to finish... would be shorter if I didn't have a couple of disaster with sticking superglue on her thighs and messing up some wet pearl coats. But the result is well worth it.
