One of the “damsels in dungeon” series from Tim. This is a great sculpture; I didn’t care for it initially because of her big chest, but the finish turned out extremely well and I think it’s one of my best work. |
Kit Review Seam lines: ?/5 Pinholes: ?/5 Casting: ?/5 Fit: ?/5 Part Break: ?/5 Help
This is a white metal kit. The casting is similar to other mascot models - sharp details, good fit. In some depressed areas, white metal casting usually has some honeycombs - an area of dense pinholes. Usually a few coats of Mr. Surfacer will cover them, but the uneven surface is also perilous to oil painting.
This kit comes with 3 alternative heads while others usually have only 2, so that’s kind of cool. One is the one seen in the picture with the medieval headress, the other with no headdress, and the last one with no headdress but gagzzed. The prism she’s standing on has two alternative protrusions, one flat headed and one with an extended egzz-shaped end for obvious purposes. The kit also comes with two mice, but their sizes are more like puppies I didn’t include them in my buildup. |
| BuildingI paint these miniature by basecoating the basic flesh tone, and then do all shadows & highlights with oil. This kit is a joy to build and paint, the only quibble is her nippes are barely discernable, so you have to paint it in yourself. The poles are painted with gunmetal and drybrushed with steel. |
