One of the earlier Mascot kits by Tim (94), but no less amazing. In fact I think it seems more detailed and less exagzzerated than his recent works. The hair in particular is better than the relatively simplistic styles of his new kits.

Kit Review

Seam lines: 3/5   Pinholes: 4/5   Casting: 4/5   Fit: 3/5   Part Break: 5/5   Help

May be due to this being an earlier release, the junction between the body and the stockings didn't fit at all, and they require a lot of dremeling and filling to get it perfect. The seat is a bit on the short side.

Building

The most difficult part of the kit is to fit the girl on the seat. It requires a lot of coordination between parts, and you have to leave the horizontal seat panel and the seat axis separated until you fit the girl and the seat together. Support is also a major concern because the whole figure is balanced ed on one point at the chair base. I pinned it with a 1/16" brass rod. I also filled the base of the seat with styrene sheet to raise the short seat. Finally the ropes which tie between her ankles were not long enough to fit between ankles, so I opted to use a natural rope between them.

I had fun painting the skirt. The picture came with the kit shows the girl wearing a white skirt with large red circles on it, and I thought it's just ugly! So I painted in a purple flowerly pattern and it was quite a nice effect. The metal parts were not painted but was actually exposed and polished white metal... no paint can do as well as the real thing :)
