I had a lot of fun doing stray hair, especially when they are part of
the character design that calls for lots of flowing hair coming out of
everywhere. The hair is made of styrene sheets; they are less easy to
get bent out of shape like sheet metal but they are also quite breakable
when they're cut in thin strips.
Painting - nothing major, but I wasn't very good in masking and always
overspray somewhere. Eventually I handpainted a lot of areas.
The base is a candle holder... it's so difficult to drill into, so I
just glue Skuld on top of it, with fingers crossed.
I had the white metal polished to a high shine, but let that be my first
lesson to how coating will affect the reflective index of the media! I
tried to protect the shine with Mr. Metal Primer and the shine was reduced
by quite a bit... so much for the polish work...
I didn't have my DC265 with me at the time of picture taking, so these
pictures looks different from others. Actually the DC210 wasn't half bad
but I couldn't get the control I needed.
