This is a character in a painting by Royo
Luis. The vinyl version of this kit has the monster guadian giving her a
robe like the original painting, the resin version here only has the girl.
Works for me, since I'm not too interested in the monster (though it'd make
a nice diorama) In the original painting her expression is that of an angry
stare, so I chose to paint her face that way. In the photos though, her
face didn't look so menacing.

Kit
Review
Seam lines: 3/5 Pinholes:
4/5 Casting: 3/5 Fit: 4/5 Part
Break: 5/5 Help
This is a rather easy kit to assemble, it
only has the hand, left leg and body to assemble, and the fit is good. The
resin SOL use to cast kits isn't that great though, and is quite brittle.
Though it's a bit better than the yellow resin crap they used a few years
back. |

Building
The only tricky thing about this kit is the wet transparent robe. I used
oil to avoid masking, and oil allows a lot of control. I washed the surface
with white first, wiping away excess glob. Then I dry brush the raised
areas with white progressively.
I've finally converged on a recipe for painting blond hair, which I wrote
in the FAQ. However I rushed the wash and the color was too dark. I'm
redoing it and hopefully she'll come out better. Stay tuned.
