The popular morphing heroine Cutey Honey has seen revivals in the 90’s and a recent Gainax-produced OVA series. I believe this design is from the 90’s series. While Honey-chan is cute and all, there’s really not much to say about her except she makes a very entertaining heroine

The kit offers the limbs and armor pieces cast in clear resin. Very nice, but it’s also a bit odd to have solid thighs and transparent shins!! So I have her less transparency on the limb parts and more on the broken body pieces. The smoke-blue / perl blue mixture works out pretty nicely, though a black-themed armor could be more menancing. The kit also comes with 3 faces - one evil grin, one faint smileand one embarrassed. I think the evil grin fits Go Nagai’s designs the best and that’s what I went with. The armor pieces were attached with UHU-glue-like Zap Goo, which dries clear but can be rubbed off.
